Municipality of Montana (MONTANA)
The Municipality Montana was established with Decree # 626 from 2 December 1891. According to the act for local government and local administration the municipality has its own budget and property. The Municipality is the unit where the local government is executed. According to the constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Municipality of Montana is one of the 264 municipalities in Bulgaria.
The main activities of the Municipality are imposed by the Bulgarian legislation. The Municipality operates in many areas of life. The main areas are:
- Infrastructural Development;
- Local Economic Development;
- Social affairs;
- Environment;
- Health care;
- Culture;
- International cooperation.
Role in C-LIEGE
Municipality Montana is one the C-LIEGE Local Authorities. Its administration is in charge of coordinating local stakeholders’ engagement and will carry out the pilot experiment in Montana.
