LEITAT Technology Centre (LEITAT)

LEITAT is a Technological Centre specialised in production technologies. LEITAT develops R+D activities in the areas of materials sciences, environment, biotechnologies and renewable energies with deep knowledge and experience on the technological transfers to several industrial sectors.

LEITAT performs projects and managing initiatives, including those funded by the European Union, which promote innovative and efficient energy resources and waste management, to preserve and improve the environmental quality.

The Environment Department provides services to companies related with the improvement of the energy efficiency, and the compliance of regulation requirements as for example, ECO-LABEL, Environmental and Social responsibility guidance, Environmental-friendly and Energy-saving technologies assessment and Implementation of REACH normative in several industrial sectors.

LEITAT performs also consultancy and training activities. As for consultancy, the main activity lines related with energy management are energetic audits and strategies to reduce water and energy consumption in different industrial contexts; concerning training, the main activities are: workshops on energetic efficiency, environmental management systems, sewage, waste, energy and pollution management and best practices and cleaner production.
