The Mid-Term workshop in Newcastle on the 4th of October 2012 was the first public event of C-LIEGE after 16 months of project progress. The workshop followed three basic objectives: 1) to present and share the C-LIEGE results and solutions, 2) to present and share experiences in the progress of the C-LIEGE Pilot Cities and 3) to enable intense discussions in "stakeholders meets C-LIEGE experts" discussions groups.
Stakeholders and UFT experts from Europe were invited and the targeted 50 participants shared the C-LIEGE results and experiences in the representative location of The Sage Gateshead across the river from Newcastle (UK). In his welcome address Nigel Todd, Councilor of Newcastle City, encouraged the participants to use C-LIEGE as a means to learn from one another for better and more energy efficient UFT management and planning.
